Every Mexigo rental comes with full insurance included. Here’s how our coverage works and what it means for you.
How Our Insurance Works
All Mexigo rentals include comprehensive insurance. Your security deposit acts as the excess (deductible) — it’s the maximum you could ever pay for damage.
- ✅ Small damage (e.g. broken mirror): you pay only the actual repair cost
- ✅ Damage exceeding the excess: you pay ONLY the deposit amount — that’s your cap
- ✅ Insurance covers everything above the excess
We use this system for accountability — it ensures nobody neglects or deliberately damages the vehicles.
Deposit Amounts (= Excess)
Your deposit is your maximum liability. These amounts are held during your rental and returned when you bring the vehicle back in good condition:

Deposit Methods
We accept deposits via:
- 💵 Cash — MXN, USD, EUR, or GBP (with exchange buffer)
- 💳 Card hold — temporary authorization on your card
- 📱 Stripe link — secure online payment
Your deposit is fully refunded when you return the vehicle in the same condition.
